Curb protection

This may sound like an odd question, but as I write I'm sitting here waiting for AAA to show up.

My narrow driveway is bordered on one side by a row of cement blocks that separate my neighbor's drive/lot from mine. They are uneven and bowed at points and it's very hard to gauge how close I am to their sharp edges.

For the second time in less than a year, I've blown a tire by scraping it alongside these blocks as I was pulling out. Kills me, because this tire was barely a year old.

Looking for recommendations of how to fix this problem. Is there some kind of product that could be used to cover them? Could they be tarred or ... ?

My tilt down sideview mirror hasn't been working for ages, which doesn't help.

Try installing a set of curb feelers.

Ew.
Do you have the mirror adjuster in the center position? Otherwise the passenger side mirror won't work when you shift into reverse.

wow...this might be destined for that flaming thread.

But, yeah, it would be hilarious if your mirror adjust wasn't centered.
