PROBLEMS that needs a FIX/INSIGHT ASAP!!
Hey guys, Im the proud owner of a 2001 Acura 3.2 CL Type-S and Im having vigorous vibrations from the steering wheel when I apply the brakes at 40+ MPH. Note; when I push the brake down even further, I feel a lot of the vibration coming from the front left and I can hear something that sounds like a rumble. My rotors are three months old and I replaced my Left + Right Axles today because that was my first suspicion, but the violent vibration is still there. Could this be a bad wheel bearing/Hub Assembly?
Also when I am turning (left/right) at low speeds (1-15 MPH), I can hear a grinding sound coming from the front tires. Any ideas what this could be??
When I turn the Volume knob up, it goes up, then down, then up, then down. Is this a problem that can be fixed by myself (like a DIY)?
For the last problem; when I turn the key to III (ignition position 3), I hear the car trying to start up but I find myself holding the key in Position 3 for 4-10 seconds without the car turning over. The battery is brand new.
My car has 170,000 miles on it but when I got it last year, it was so strong and smooth. If anybody can help me restore my car back to its original, smooth, "vibration free" feel, that would be much appreciated!!

sounds like a very possible wheel bearing issue, along with warpped rotors again (a bad bearing does not play nice with rotors, cause it makes it wear even)(could also be bad cv axles too, it is alot of miles for things to wear out [not many on a honda though lol] and you don't know what it went through in it's previous life either)
also what way does it sound worse when turning?
about all i can say is that it needs to be put on a lift/jackstands and looked over thoroughly

then it is more likely the front right having issues then, because when you are turning left, the right side is loaded alot more, cause of the car's weight shifting to the outside, which is the right side
and as far as sounding like it is coming from the left, sound does like to echo and stuff, and that is where your window is

That can't be a bearing and i highly doubt a bent wheel.
i'm pretty sure you warped your rotors again.

Rotors are warped.
Could be wheel bearings. Check to make sure the rotor dust shield isnt bent slightly contacting the brake rotor though. That can cause a scratching, grinding sound.
When your volume goes up and down, does the screen show the volume going up and down or is it just the speakers modulating? Is it with the buttons on the steering wheel only, just the knob, or both?
Could be the starter. Does it sound like its spinning slowly? If not, possibly the fuel filter needs to be replaced.

I did not replace the brake pads when I replaced the rotors. When I'm steering, I hear a grinding/whirring sound and my car is at stock height. How can you tell it's the starter instead of alternator? (I've heard these two can be the cause of hard/long startups.)

The screen reflects the volume amount but if I were to turn the volume knob clockwise, the volume will go up and then drop back down as if its something wrong with the knob. On a side note; My steering wheel volume controls only work when the wheel is turned to a certain position.
The starter sounds normal, how do I replace the fuel filter?
How exactly do rotors get warped? (Can this be prevented?) Today while my car was on the ground, I shook all of my tires and out of all of them, my front left tire was making a clicking sound as if it was loose (axle nut, and wheel lugs are tight).

You really need to jack the car up and wiggle the wheels. Where you shaking the wheels from top to bottom or side to side?
Ive never heard of that issue with the radio, but the volume knob itself sounds like an issue with the radio itself. The steering controls may just need the contacts cleaned or the clock spring behind the steering wheel may need to me replaced (but address the volume knob first, that could be causing the issue).
The fuel filter is connected to the fuel pump in the tank. It takes about 30 minutes to do as long as the bolts aren't putting up a fight.
Cool, I'll take the starter to get it checked...My steering wheel controls work if I rotate the wheel or pull on the wheel. Does anybody know where a PDF file Repair Manual is? I'd really hate to ask how to do everything.
