People have had problems with a noisy sunroof, see if your dealer will fix it under warranty. I believe they will replace/add some kind of tape.

The tape fix is for the sunroof rattle when it's closed, haven't heard of anybodys rattling when it's open yet...

Might be time to take it in for warranty work chazz..

When the glass slides back, there's a bar that pops up which spans across the front of the roof opening. When I hit about 50, it starts to flap and rattle like mofo. Try reaching up and grabbing it to see if that is what's vibrating. I'm not sure if a wind deflector would stop this or not, didn't buy one when I bought the car. My 1st gen CL didn't have that bar (or problem). Also, the glass in it went ALL the way back...unlike our 2nd gens. Bad design in my opinion.

are you talking about the mini built in pop up visor

hey guys
are you talking about the black, mini black wind deflector/visor that pops up when i open the sunroof? (that part comes with the sunroof)
i don't think that is the source, as i have tried to hold that deflector piece, yet i still hear the noise.
i guess it is time for an apt :-)

My sister had an '01 CL-S that had this problem. When the car was in a particular speed range (I think it was like 25-40 MPH) with the sunroof open, it would make this deep vibrating noise. I swear it was the thin metal of the roof vibrating! It was CRAZY annoying and actually unbearable! I think it was cause by wind blowing into the gap at the back of the sunroof, between where the roof liner meets the metal roof.

An aftermarket wind deflector (about $85) eliminated the problem in her car.
