Discovered new function in 2016 RDX

On the key fob, if you press "unlock" twice and hold it down, all the windows including the sunroof open and you can let go to open part wat only. This vehicle is advanced!!! Acura Advance.

Reading the manual usually helps. My VW of 10 years ago had that "advanced" feature too.

In addition, if the car is moving and you turn the steering wheel then the car turns. Advanced features of the Acura.

Did the VW have a 100 meter range? The key fob on the acura has that. Does the key fob have amber, green, and red LED lights that are used to give you feedback on the car?

When you turn the steering wheel if the Acura, yes it does turn but you missed the advanced stabilizers that automatically stabilizes the vehicle in case you oversteer. Helps improve handling and prevent rollover. Acura Advance, baby!!

Dude.. you should consider getting an Acura logo tattoo somewhere on your body. Contact Acura's marketing division and maybe you can earn some cash on the side, too.

Definitely not a "new" function as has been standard on Acura vehicles for more than 10 years.

How come it's so much more complicated to automatically roll up all windows and moonroof at the same time? It says you have to use the actual key, stick it in and turn it twice and hold it there. Is there a way to do this on the key fob?

If you knew anything about cars then you'd know that this has been discussed for the last 10 years as well. One word - safety.

Rolling windows up can be a safety hazard to fingers, feet, necks and other body parts that might be in the way. You can't see an obstruction around a corner or "100 meters away" so manufacturers don't allow you to close windows long distance.

. you guys are funny.
@ Rockyboy, if not anything, you make this forum interesting to read.
The auto window roll up function seems to be a hit and miss for me. Is there a trick for doing it on the door? I was able to do it a few times earlier, but it wouldn't go up the last few attempts.

Ok thanks! Goes to show the experience and wisdom of the Acura safety engineers.

You can thank NHTSA, TUeV and all the other regulators for that.

Don't turn the key too fast. Turn it once, then a second time and hold it there.

I had to get a fob cover for my MDX because the button sometimes got pressed in my pocket and started to roll down the windows when walking away. I didn't notice until lunch time or after work. No more problems with the cover and the cover keeps me from grabbing the RDX fob that look similar at 6am in the morning before the coffee starts to work. My 08 RDX doesn't have the roll down feature while my 06 TSX does?

Nice solution!

I was thinking of buying one of those chains that can hook to the key fob on one end and on the end of the chain attaches to your pants pocket. That way you can't lose the key fob.

But the only problem is that sometimes you may have to fish out the key from the washer / dryer .

Maybe Acura can design a washer/dryer with advanced sensors where it won't start if it detects a key or other things in there?
