I currently only have 1 set of keys, the original key and remote. What do i need to do to get a 2nd key and remote?

Buy a key or remote from ebay or dealer. If your unsure what to get on ebay, visit your dealer.

 

The new key will need to be programmed, but most dealers can do that relatively cheap on these older cars especially if you have the old key cause they can just clone the key code off the old key. Best option, go to the dealer so you don't buy a cheap key that can't be programmed to start the car.

 

Can the key be cloned ourselves? I found the thread on how to program the key fob only.

Yup,found that out after doing a lot of phone calls to dealers and locksmiths! Finally found a guy 2towns over and he cut 2 keys for me and programmed them to my car. Not sure if a new code was programmed in because he had my other master key. So not sure if he put in a new code for the 3 keys or he somehow cloned the master to the 2 new keys. Either way I have 2new keys cut and programmed for $75.

 

also the dealer wanted to vagaries $130 to program. And I am pretty sure he meant for only one key!
