Help: Enginer revving up and down at P
Help: Enginer revving up and down at P
Hey guys,
I went to take out my 3.2 CL T-S today, after 2 years of not using it (last time I turned it on was 6 months ago to start the engine and drive a bit).
The problem:
- When sitting in Park, the car revs up and down. As simple as that. Here is a video of the same
What should I be looking at and how much should I expect to pay to fix this?

It could be the low battery voltage because it has sat for over 6 months and before that it sat for a good year without use. I probably should just buy a new battery right?
Thanks guys, I took it to Autoparts and had them read the computer. It gave an EGV error (not sure what that is?)
Anyway, went to change the oil and had the tech said he cleaned the intake and reset the light. Told me to put premium gas and to drive the car for a week.
Drove it all day, no issues. So for now, all is good.
Not sure what it could have been. What is IACV (Intake air control valve?)

You do use premium gas all the time, right?
IACV is a valve on the throttle body that regulates the air that travels through a small port when the throttle body is closed.
If the car were at idle and you turned the a/c on, the valve opens to compensate for the extra drag on the engine.

So I guess that is what the mechanic cleaned and now it's working well. I'll keep you guys updated in case anything unexpected happens.
Do you recommend anything else?

I was about to post the same thing when I first saw the thread, but I reread the post again.
