I have a 01 CL and just upgraded the HU and installed a dvc sub and monoblock amp running roughly 1000 watts.

I was testing my sub/amp by turning the bass boost knob up and playing with the settings on the HU. I'm pretty sure that this was the cause of my fuse/short problems.

3 fuses were defiantly blown and all off the others were burnt looking(however they did test to be ok). I'm thinking that there is a short in my electrical system somewhere b/c one of the blown fuses that I replaced continues to blow every time turn on my head lights (which also turns on my dash lights). This fuse seems be for my dash lights and my remote for door locks/trunk/alarm.

Whats the best way to diagnose/treat this problem?

I really want to avoid the dealership for obvious reasons....

Any advice is greatly appreciated....
