Desperately need advice!!

Just bought the 2003 Type s 6 speed car for $1,000 from a teenager. Said he just didn't want to put any more money in it, just swapped engine into it and wouldn't go above 2000 RPM. Scan codes before I bought, just one crankshaft position sensor code so I figured as easy as that. Come to find out, the engine swapped into it was from an automatic. What's my easiest route to get this car out of limp mode and running well?

you need to make the automatic J32A2 six speed compatible with the following parts from a CL-S6 J32A2:
front head cam pulley, cam sensors & sub harness, backing plate
TB drive pulley, crank sensor & sub harness, TB stopper plate

So so if I can't find another CLS6 engine to take parts from, there's no other way?

Pretty much.
According to the OEM parts websites, the only parts above that have not been 'discontinued' are:
front head cam pulley
cam sensors & sub harness
TB drive pulley
Crank sensor assembly

You should check the 'teenagers' work he may have all the parts present. There may just be something else wrong?
Good Luck!

oh we checked lol didnt have any of the parts present lol was a teenager I bought from but he had a shop swap motors. Neither kid nor shop knew about the difference until the old motor had already been scrapped. they just thought a J32A2 was a J32A2.
But anyway, I lucked out and found everything that should have been swapped the first time, and now have it all installed...
still only go 2000 RPM 🤢 still po335 cel. Idk what the problem is. I've checked and double checked and triple checked, I have every part that is supposed to be on the engine to be manual compatible installed but it didn't change anything. Timing is perfect. To me, it has to be wiring problem now

p0335 is the pulley side crank sensor. Check / replace the transmission side crank sensor. It's been known, when a p0335 MIL triggers for these 6-speeds that you have to check the opposite sensor.
Check out the threads below:

In addition, do you know if the 'shop' installed the correct flywheel? You need an OEM or LUK DMF063 equivalent with those triggers for that sensor to function:

Good Luck!
