Type S, normal auto shut off is at 7200 RPM but it's shutting down at 5750 RPM.

Noticed this today, I changed the throttle position sensor last weekend because the old one was causing a bad idle.

I also have the check engine light on but that's been on cause of an evap code for a while. I'll probably get it scanned this weekend.

Any ideas on why it's cutting off early?

 

Because the CEL is on. It's called limp mode so the engine doesn't hurt itself.

 

CEL has been on forever, I'll get a scan soon but until then does anyone have any ideas or has seen this before?
