So my GF was coming to pick me up from work and the check engine light came on. Its about 18 degrees and snowing like a bitch, never went over 30mph. Only the check engine light is on. The VSA still works fine and the light did not come on. I can't tell if the tranny is shifting funny cause I could never go over 30 (snow and idiot fucking drivers). Going to autozone tomorrow to have the codes run. Sucks.. haven't even made a payment on it yet....

It's probably an emissions related CEL, at least I would hope so.

 

Did you or the girlfriend put gas in it just before this came on? Make sure the gas cap is on and make it click several times everytime you put it back on.

No i was the last one to put gas in it, cap was on fine. The snow wasn't as bad today, and it went through the gears fine, still had plenty of power and shifted great. I'm going to autozone after work to get the ecu codes run. ... got my fingers crossed for something simlpe.
