Radio code

The battery went dead in my 2003 CL-S. The dealer told me I need a serial number off the radio to reprogram it. How much work is it pulling the factory Bose? Any tips?
Thanks

I tried that sequence on a previous 03 CLS and it didn't work.
I'm in the same damm boat again. my car was in the body shop for repairs and now when I got ot back this week I get a radio code. I can find no code in the car or in the glove box.
I need to try that sequence again on this car I guess. or call the dealer to find out what they charge and try to make the body shop pay?

Me neither I can't find anything in the glove box. Now, my question is wether you removed the glove box and it is underneath it? That was never part of the deal.
