How do you know that its the hood latch and not a door ot the trunk sensor?
I had this issue in my red Type-S and it was annoying for the neighbors. I was driving around and noticed the passenger rear door would say it was open intermittently though it was closed. I changed the the sensor on that door with a used one from the junkyard and have not had an issue since.
