ABS module, changed 2x and still saying bad.

Got a 03 type S with MT and 210k miles. ABS light came on so had it diagnosed, abs pump failure. Changed the pump with one from a 98 honda accord, didn't fix it. Bought another from eBay off a 03 cl, didn't fix it.

Brought back to shop for another diagnosis, same code.

Now they are saying the pump has to be brand new and that's why it isn't fixing the issue. Absolutely bullshit of course and a new pump is like $1300 where as these used pumps are $50 lol

Is there a way to test the actual pumps themselves to ensure they are working properly?

Is there something else that could be wrong? Short in the wiring maybe? Checked all fuses and they are all good as well.

Just curious.

What was the ABS code(s) that presented to indicate 'pump failure'?

Can you feel the ABS pump work if you brake hard enough to activate ABS on a semi-slippery type surface? Like a dirt road or something like that?

Yea it was ABS solenoid and yes it is being active at all times. I have now changed it today for the 4th time with a 4th ABS pump and it is still present. I am at my fucking wits end and the mechanic just says "buy a new one" like bro 5 used ones are all busted? No, it's something else.

You may have to do some reading.

Download the PDF manual, at post #13, on the link below. It's for the 2G TL; however, it will work for your 2G CL. Start at 'Brakes' and review.

Maybe something will stand out to you that is being lost here in translation?

That's all I have. Other than 'maybe you should find a new mechanic'.

Good Luck.
