ABS pump is done!

ABS pump is done!
i went to an R&S Strauss, diagnostic was 80 cash and they said i need a new abs pump. my inspection is due but wont pass unless abs light gets taken off, any suggestions??????

you paid $80 for them to stick a paperclip into a slot. that sucks. It is more then likely not your pump that has gone bad, but the module itself. There is a problem with the abs on a lot of hondas and acuras where it makes the pump overrun and it builds too much pressure. (note the mooing sound everyone hears from under the hood) Therefore,the abs light goes off and gives you a pump overrun code. Shitty part is, the module is like $1299 to replace. Just take out the fuse for the abs under the hood and pull the bulb for the light in the dash. No one will ever know.
