From a quick internet search, it appears that Phearable may use the dyno at Powertech Performance 3161 118th Ave N, St. Petersburg, FL 33716.

If you look at the Phearable video below, the dyno area has a yellow floor and a sign, on the left hand wall, that saysPowertech Performance, so that may be who he contracts out to, for dyno services, to use for his tuning? If that's the case, it looks like it (the dyno) is about 15miles closer to you over the one at FullThrottlePerformance.

I just looked on Google maps and Full Throttle Performance is 31 miles from my house and Powertech Performance is 25 miles. Both pretty far...but what I literally just found out is that Full Throttle Performance is having "Dyno Days" this Saturday @ 10am, 3-pulls for $60. I was supposed to go to a baptism this Saturday.....well, that ain't happening I need to finally get my J35 on the dyno and see what it makes before throwing the S/C'er on. Weather should be nice as well on Saturday, for a baptism of course

Nice!
If you make it there for 'dyno days' and get to talking with the Full Throttle peeps, inquire about phearable and any shops you have in mind. Since they are all competitors, you should here some interesting things. Here's to a desirable dyno result for your J35A3.

What kind of dyno was it?

Nice to see some realistic numbers. Gets mind numbing reading about all these heros online that say they're pushing 300whp+/280wtq out of a J35 with bolt ons.

Car is definitely running a little too rich so with a proper tune it would probably be in the in the mid 280's whp

^ Congrats!

That engine bay looks so empty without the CT S/C'er.

So, did you pick up any 'info' on local tuners that would help you shorten your list of prospects?

Thanks Zeta!! I called Phearable and left them a message but haven't heard back from them yet, but Full Throttle performance said they can easily tune it, so I'm just not sure yet where I'll go.

Hey 2ndgentl, have you had an opportunity to work on your car!
I know your busy summertime boating season is fast approaching.

You are exactly right about that Zeta, I have been absolutely swamped with work lately. I don't even have time to take a lunch while I'm working. And sometimes I don't even take a piss. Lol but it's true...so bad for you. Although I did change my oil today on all my cars. I don't know if you remembered in the past sometime I mentioned that every so often my starter would grind against my Aasco flywheel? Well, I guess I fixed that problem by installing a push button start right next to the key switch. I installed a separate solenoid so when I turn the key the starter pinion gear shoots out into the flywheel, then when I push the push button start it provides power to the starter, therefore it starts the engine without it grinding because the gear is already intact with the flywheel. Once I let go of the key switch it pops back in the starter. I guess you can say it's kind of jerry-rigged but I made it look presentable and it works.

I do remember the starter issue. That set-up looks pretty sweet and as long as it corrects an annoying problem, then it is thumbs-up in my book.

I finally received my S/C'er back from the rebuilder and they had to 'sleeve' the two impeller shafts due to wear. That wear was not allowing the seals to hold back the gear lubricant, within the gear housing, and that's how it, the oil, made its way into the impeller housing. So at least it has not turned into a boat anchor, yet.

I will have to, though, heili-coil the M8X1.25 cam thrust cover threads in the front head if I ever have to pull the blower bracket again because they are gone, lol. No biggie and I will address it when the time comes.

Well, make lots of money, this season and let us know when you have any updates on the car or tuning process. I'm / we here are always interested.

Wow Zeta, should I ask how much that cost? Lol Sounds like a pain in the A$$. Now I'm thinking that there's a chance that something like that might happen to me sometime from the S/C sitting in the garage for so long. I need to just hurry up and get it done. At least yours will be back up and running again soon!

The cost came out to be just under $500 including shipping both ways. It's the shipping that gets expensive. I only had to pay for parts, labor was free under goodwill warranty.

The car has been up and running for a while now with no problems; however, I was getting so sick of driving a NA car, it was driving me nuts.

Now I get my fix of that sweet 'whine' everyday.

Wow, that's actually not a bad deal at all! I'm glad it all worked out as well as it did! I know, kind of hard to go back to N/A after it's been supercharged. It's been so long for me that I actually forgot how it feels with that S/C'er on there. My N/A 3.5 actually feels pretty damn fast, but I know it'll be slow compared to the S/C'er. The "whine" is what I really miss...
