Hello there, I was wondering if anybody has had this problem. Acura dealer says never heard of it and the latch looks normal. It is $110 to look at and $120 for part ![Frown](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/frown.gif)
I had this happen now twice. last time the guy at dealer fixed, but not today. I was opening the truck with remote. Put stuff in trunk and now wont close. Tha latch is in the blocking position. I tried playing with the safety handles in the truck. That just makes the latch retote and not change. It still will not lock or close trunk. I cant figure out why this is happening and how to fix without paying over $200 for a fix
Please help
mike

Whats up with RDX owners?

Does the trunk close fully (sits flush with the rest of the body) but not latch? Or is the latch blocking it from closing?
It sounds like you need a new latch.

It lists for $97 but you can get it online for $72. Dont bother having the dealer replace it. Just pull the trunk cover off and you can get to the lock. Theres a few 10mm bolts holding it on. You will also need to remove the pull cable and unplug the electrical connector. It shouldn't take longer then 30 mins if you know how a wrench works.
