To black out the window trim....or not. That is the question.

If ur never going to put chrome wheels on and ur going to change the door handles sure, if not keep it all chorme.

yeah if you black out the window trim then you should do the door handles too...then your CL will be stealth to the fullest

 

thats exactly what i was thinkin, and want to do...but now how would you black out the door handles? is there antway to swap door hanles from an 03?

 

on a black car I think it would look great blacked out. Especially with your windows tinted.

 

Yes, it takes like 30 minutes-45 minutes to swap out the handles. They are only about 33 bucks each from www.acuraautomotiveparts.org

 

My freind who owns a body/paint shop is wanting to do this to my CL-S.........it will take a lil' work, but he said that he has to remove the trim form around the windows, sand blast the chrome off, than primer and paint them. That is what he did to my 01' CL grill, and he color matched it, and looks like an 03'! Once I find the time, I will get it done, and post pics!

Well, painted or covering...can you guys post your sources along with pics. This is something I'd like to do at some point.

 

I got that black out tape at PepBoys and did mine awhile back. It looked cool, but I removed it later. I've got pix on a CD somewhere. I think your black car looks good with a little chrome. I think an interesting look would be just to blackout the top trim and leave the bottom straight line silver.

 

I decided not to do this personally. The trim looks too nice with the polished lip of my 19's.

I think it would look good on your car though. It goes with what you have already done.

 

alright you guys have me convinced...im going search crazy this week to find the perfect tape stuff. and if i do, ill post my source, along with some pics

 

i agree with 123456speed, blackout all but the bottom strip. thats what im going to do. and id post pics if i could figure our how, lol.

 

You'd have to get creative at the rear quarter window if only doing the top portion because there's no break in it.
