Springs Installed!

This is how my car looked after i dropped the front (more pics in another thread..)

you see the resemblance to american muscle?

Here I am working late at night again:

And here is the drop:

Sorry the pic with the drop isnt that great... I guess I'm waiting til I polish some more.. etc - but I'll definitely post some pics next time I go for a drive somewhere scenic...

btw, those rears springs were a B*TCH to put in.... maybe because I decided that the instructions I used for the front had so many extra steps, I would just try to forge through intuitively... o well, i got it done

and i'm getting alignment etc this weekend hopefully

I have a set of eibach pro springs collecting dust right now cause I'm a little cautious about self installing them. I had a shop install them at first and then removed after one of the shocks started leaking. where did you get the instructions? it may be worth a try.

It's not really necessary for the instructions. The front is really easy. The rear takes a little longer. The reason....you have to remove the rear seats to get access. We can post instructions at your request.

yea, unless it's posted already somewhere, I'd like to see what's involved before doing the install and what tools are needed.

Also, from the few different guides I used, I found that everyone had a different approach and that they made everything sound much more complicated than it really was. I decided not to bother with the instructions for the rear, but I probably could have saved some time by at least looking over the guide.

and i think there's another if you search the acura-cl forums..

just curious, but how many hours did you spend doing that? I've only done some minor repairs (like sealing the coilpack on my old GTI VR6). That's actually something I would like to do so if it didnt take too long I might be PM'ing you for instructions.. thanks mans - looks GREAT!

it actually took me a looong time... partly because I did it mostly by myself, and without anyone who knew how this works... Also, I had less than optimal tools (no air compressor, etc) So I did everything by hand..

I spend 9 hrs on the fronts (I didnt have a ratchet for the spring compressors, which take FOREVER if you use regular wrenches)

and about 3 hrs for the rears

good luck!

thanks all...

the gap is about 1 finger in the front
can barely squeeze a finger in the back

im getting an alignment this week, and i'll know the camber then... it looks a little off but i cant really tell that way

These are eibach sportlines, about 2.5" drop...
