We did a lot of research and the dimensions of the town car suspension and body matched ours the best. As far as the floor goes, prolly out of a SC300 matched pretty well.

i'll cut the whole back inner side of the town car and weld it inside. dimensions dont match on the LS.

I wasn't wondering how you'd weld it in, I was wondering why you'd want a solid rear axle. I can understand if its going to be a strip-only vehicle, but for a street car Id prefer a IRS for handling purposes.

Have you thought about an S2k rear end? I know the diffs cant handle a whole lot, but there are aftermarket parts out there for it. What about 350Z/G35?

And most importantly, what tranny were you planning on running?

LMFAO. we were just fucking with you guys.
David started off by mentioning the Town Car and i just started playing along.

here's whats in mind:

2JZ w/ Getrag, as far as rear end goes, it'll be decided later, but just to make it work, ill start off with a 240 rear end (there are too many of those availble)

For the floor and the rear suspension, i'm also looking at 240s. also considering 1st gen SC.

i'm not gonna go all out on it either so i'll keep the parts under a budget, then one by one, do upgrades on those parts.

That kinda makes me sad that you are going to swap in a 2JZ. It just seems too easy. Id much rather keep the J.

Either way, it will be an interesting project if you do pull it off.

got to spend a couple of hours on the lip today.
so far its all molded, not glue used so far. it was cut into two pieces only. i made a mistake putting a cut on the passenger side corner
The way its going so far. I think i'll be able to make it remove able and not have to glue it to the bumper. Ran out of time so this is how it is right now. tape is there to reinforce the corners.

x2 But maybe its just the angle, the rear of the lip near the wheel wells looks like it needs to be dropped a hair, or the front of the lip needs to come up. It appears to be a bit slanted compared to the body line in the bumper.
