My Build Thread - bordering on more BS! 56K Beware

Anymore. I see how hard civic is trying to get everything he can get out of j series. Im proud of him but its not reliable

Bc stock parts arnt ment to handle what we do to our cars. The weakest links always will break, that'swhen u beef them up or replace them with something better. Its an addiction. Ull never be done modding

Other then that, its normal wear items. It just always seems to happen when I decide to start saving more money and not work on the car. So thats why I started modding again
But the clutch really is pissing me off. I thought that the other guys that had issues with this clutch didnt break them in properly. And I thought that because I was breaking in a motor at the same time I wouldnt have an issue. But over the past 1k miles or so the clutch has been acting funny. Its definitely lasted longer then the others that ran this clutch setup, but its still about 80k miles short of what I was expecting to get out of it. Once it stops raining and dries up a bit Im going to do a pull and see how bad it is. Even if there is the slightest slip Im calling CM and bitching them out. I know the others that ran this setup got CM to replace it, but that was after 3k miles on it. I have nearly 20k. I hope theres some good will from them.

This is why I am questioning building the motor, and if I do anything I will most likely just swap in a ct s/c.

^ He was asking what wheels he was on when he dyno'ed.
As far as the clutch issue, I'm not sure if I have this correct but is Stage 3 the strongest? As in for primarily track use? More around-town driving than racing might be the case if what I said is correct. If not,

no there is a stage 4 by clutch masters as well that is meant for mainly track use. here is the description on excellerates store for the stage 3
Segmented Kevlar Steel Back System, 110% over stock holding capacity.
The FX300 System uses the Power Plus I Pressure Plate with the Steel Back Segmented Kevlar disc. This clutch is designed for the ultimate street enthusiast or weekend racer running a normally aspirated car equipped with cylinder head work and/or hotter cam(s), or with medium-boost turbo or super-charger, or up to 100hp NO2. The FX300 features only slightly increased pedal pressure (overstock components), long life disc and smooth engagement.

Aftermarket wheels each time. The first dyno was on my Legends I believe and the second was with the Works.
281/257 IIRC. I still havent made it back to run again since the intake/exhaust work.
Stage 4 is the highest. The Stage 1 is not much stronger then stock and at the time I planned to go boosted. The stage 3 that I have is meant for street cars that have been heavily breathed on. The weak link is the disc, which if I had known when I ordered, I would have had them give me another disc. Im not sure what the difference is but one of the people running that clutch got a new, different disc and it was holding up fine.
I havent driven the car today. I hurt my back so I wasnt going anywhere. Yesterday it seemed to hold fine
Overall, my car is very inconsistent. I wish AEM would release the EMS for us so I can inject some consistency into the tune.
Oh yea!! Weird noises are coming from the front end again Whenever I pull into my driveway there is an odd cracking/knocking noise. Ive got new sway bar end links and sway bar bushings and Ive also got new lower control arms and inner tie rod ends. So once I get those in everything in the front suspension would have been replaced in the past 5k miles.
And Im thinking about having my struts modded and getting a set of Ground Control sleeves. The car is too high.
Ill probably get around to working on the carpc finally. Ive had the parts here for almost a month but once I put the stock radio back in there was really no motivation to tear it apart again. But now Im starting to miss that little bit of bump in the trunk so Im itching to get it all together. I just need to find my Windows XP disc. Its somewhere....
/useless babble
I dont have one, but if youre standing at the front of the car looking at the engine bay, look at the right strut tower and then look down. You should see a circular black object with some lines going to it, one of them being rubber.
Unbolt all of the lines from the dampener and then connect the rubber line coming from the transmission to the hard line coming from the master cylinder on the frame rail. You can reuse the dampener bracket to hold everything in place.
I suggest picking up an 03-07 Accord SS clutch line to use instead of the stock rubber line coming off the tranny.
Also, dont even think about touching the bolts unless you have line wrenches:
For anyone with a 6MT, this should be your first mod IMO. The second is the check valve in the slave cylinder and the third is aluminum bushings for the shift cables.

call that company and ask how long the hose it. if its a little longer than stock that it will work. i didnt use line wrenches and everything went good. but line wrenches would def help if u cant get it lose with regular wrenches

Im really pissed at myself.
As I was driving to work this morning, I wanted to take a picture of the odometer. It was a monumental achievement IMO. And I missed it. I wanted to get a pic of 123,456 miles. Noticed it at 123,460 miles. FTMFL.
In other news, 20k+ on the motor and still pulling strong. I think Im around 123,6xx now.
