Finally got my tips in!!

Well after a long, long debate, I finally picked up some tips to put on my ride. I didn't just wnat some generic shit. So I ended up winning an auction for some GT2 tips. Well, it turns out these were a BITCH to install, and I mean a BITCH!!

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...RK%3AMEWA%3AIT

That's the auction I won. Anyways, I had to have some custom pipe made to be bent in order for these tips to even fit in the cutouts. As of right now, the right tip is hanging a tad bit lower than the left, and it's really bothering me. So I think I'm gonna try out the thing that mattg posted w/ the hose clamps to pull it up a little bit. Anyways, I only took a couple pics tonight, and they're not great since it's kinda dark, but you can hopefully get an idea of what they look like. I'll get better pics up in the next day or two, when my car is clean If you guys could PLEASE give me your honest feedback, I'd really appreciate it. I just thought I'd try out something different. Hopefully you guys like it

`John

It's hard to get a good look at them, but I think they're a perfect upgrade. They have a stock shape to them, but the larger outlet gives them a sportier apprearance. Good find. I see a trend about to start.

I was expecting this thread to be flamed. Like, "Why did you put Porsche tips on an Acura, flamer!!!", lol. But hey, thank you so much everyone for the kind words. I'll post some daytime pics asap.

Here are the long awaited day pics. As mentioned, she's dirty, but it seemed you guys really wanted to see what they looked like in the day. I'll take better pics of her tomorrow when shes clean and replace these pics with those, so I don't have like 50 pictures in this thread. Also, give me your honest opinion if the right tip is *OBVIOUS* enough to notice its hanging lower than the left. Thanks!! Mods, if you could possibly merge this into my first post that would be great. Also, if you could add *56k Warning* or something so that people know it'll take a while to load, I'd appreciate it

`John

which bulbs would you be talking about? I really want to get rid of these orange bulbs that came w/ the 03's. They look tacky. Would the bulbs from the 01 taillights work with it? Since they're clear?

Thanks guys for your comments, whether they be positive or negative. Remember, I did this for originality. I really wanted the 03 tips, but I figured if I'm going to be spending $150+ just for the 03 tips which would look like everyone elses, I might as well spend that $150 on some different tips and maybe give other people some ideas to work with. Personally, I think these tips look great. As for fitting the cutout, I think they fit them PRETTY well, but not perfeclty. Ours are a tad more oval, where these tips start sloping downwards on the outside. However, I still think they work well w/ the cutouts.

As for you guys not being able to see the pics...I've got no idea? I have em hosted on cardomain, and I can see em perfectly. Anyways, I took some better pics today, so I'm gonna load those onto here, and replace the pics that are currently up. Again, thanks for your comments

Alright, here are the updated day pics after I got the car cleaned. MODs, if you could possibly erase my post on Page 1 w/ the day pics that are now RED X's, that would be great. Or better yet, if you could move this post into that post, that'd be even better Thanks.

In this shot, you should be able to see how the right one is hanging slightly lower than the left. Do you think it's bad?

i agree w/ turning the upside down... the way you have them set now is kinda weird, it interrupts the roundness coming down from the bumper

I appreciate your comment brianlin. I don't agree, lol, but I do appreciate your comment. I know a few of you aren't going to like it. And I'm glad those few that don't really like it do speak up, so thanks

John, looks nice man!

Although, you don't need to turn them upside down, but I think you should rotate the outer portion towards the top-center of your car to make it smooth out the bumper butout.
