Sweet... You do quite a bit of driving I guess... I'll hit 6 years on Oct 2nd and I've only got 78k on mine...
Any major work done on it recently ?? Just curious as to what a higher mileage CL needs maintenace wise...

By next June, All the CL's will be at least 6 years old (by build date)...
August 2002 is about half way thru the 2003 MY production run... My CL is 8866 out of 16xxx and was built in Aug 02.
Time flies when you're having fun...

And to the OP-
I wish my car looked half as nice. Is that the RJ grill?
not sure when mine was produced but i hit 6yrs back in april. i wish my baby looked like the op's. not parking in a garage doesn't help either
Gas mileage has dropped, but only because even Sheetz has started using Ethanol in their gas. I continue to get 'close to' 30 mpg now, down from what it use to be, but only because of the Ethanol. Started to notice the mileage go down about the time a Shell station in Baltimore had cheaper (by about .16 a gallon) gas, but things have switched around and now we're cheaper by about .40 per.
Oh ... by the way ... good eyes! Wondered if anybody would pick up on my replacement for the M3. Had been determined to get the new 335i, but even after a year in production, there were still some things that they appeared not to be able to get str8. So, after denying I'd ever get an American car ... let alone a vette ... I took the plunge this past December and went all out (Museum delivery, including factory tour in Bowling Green). Very enjoyable experience ... plus 436hp @ 28mpg (damn ethanol again keeping me from getting 30+).
I still pop in every now and again, but alot of the names/faces have changed since shortly before we lost RedCL that summer (right after I lost the M3). Spend most of my time on the vette forum these days.
Take care
Not as tight as a new car for obvious reasons, but it's my DailyDriver, and I have no complaints at all ... except after I get out of the vet and realize how much tighter I wish it could be.
Washed/waxed regularly ... always garaged ... try to avoid bad situations!
Thank you ... knew there would be a group of people who would appreciate seeing what an older car could look like if taken care of.
Passenger seat looks like it's only seen 500 butt miles. Drivers seat shows signs of cracking etc, but no seperation to date.
No, this is one of the original Grill Tech grills made available by former member SS2000, before Carl started making empty promises about having the companies owner on his personal cell phone ... before he deleted all the threads on the subject ... long before RonJon introduced his version. I still like this one better, because it flows with the car, as opppossed to looking like it's falling away (down and back) from the hoodline like the RJ grill does.
Absolutely nothing other than taking it into the dealer every 7500 miles on the dot! (go figure ... the car looks like this, you know I'm partially anal!!!!) I'm famous at the dealership, and they don't even bother asking the mileage anymore, because they know that - for example - when I pull into the service facility next Tuesday, the odometer will read 187,500 exactly!
I have been a deciple of SAL (Zaino) since right after I bought it, but I tried something totally different this time because I didn't want to 'test' something new on the vette, and I figured after 6 years, I'd rather screw this up then the vet. I want to see if it does everything it advertises, and I'll come back and reveal all if it meets my satisfaction. But based on the reactions above, I think you all give it a big

If not for the unavoidable stone chips and a couple of scratches here and there, I'd say it looks better than brand new ... and the way it should have looked from the factory in the first place.
