I still miss my CL-S...




The tranny on the CL-S downshifted to second gear at freeway speeds and almost made me crash. Acura gave a reburbished tranny that started acting up so i had to trade her in.The car just didnt feel safe anymore.
I now drive a 07 TL-S

 

nice upgrade. i would do the same if i didn't love my cls that much. don't thimk i'll ever give her up, but if i did the tls or the rl would be it.coongrats

very nice... now tint the passenger and driver side front, then drop that bad boy. glad to see you upgraded to another acura, The TL-S is just pure sexy ... I like that second pic of the TL

nice! as much as i love my cls, gotta admit if i ever am in a situation like that im definitely crossing over to lexus or infiniti

What did you do with your stock TL-S wheels? I want some for my CL-S. And btw what exhaust was that you had on the CL?

 

^^ I have the stock TL-S wheels in my garage in case i bend one of my aftermarket ones. Dont have plans to sell them.
The exhaust on the CL-S was the HKS super dragger, just the mufflers...

 

Man you're probably one of three people in this whole forum's history who've upgraded their cars and still stayed in the same brand. Everyone else goes BMW.

haha, just noticed you stayed with the black,my cl was white,and now I got my WDP tl-s......

 

although i love my CL a lot, i cant wait till i get outa college in 2 years and buy something nice brand new off the lot....like the new TL that we're waiting on...the tranny just has me nervous even though it just got switched out like 10k miles ago...

He lives in Cali, that's just asking for trouble. I get pulled over every 2-3 weeks for it, only one ticket so far.

You bastards in Vegas can even tint your windshield.

 

My exhaust is kinda loud to be attracting even more attention with front tints. I think im gonna save the tints for later.

how the hell do you get let off so many times.... i rather not deal with cops, its ridiculous how much bad luck i have with them

 

I don't drive like an idiot. Most of the time cops have no reason to pull me over other than my "illegally modified car" (tinted tail lights, tinted windows, no front license plate, white turn signals) and I make up some bullshit about how it came with the car or whatever and they check out my ins./registration and let me go.

 

nice TL, one of my favorite acura's, its right under a 6spd legend coupe which is under the NSX.

 

ooo ya if i had my wish it would be the 6 series or m6. But i dont trust the reliability of bmw. too expensive to fix, insurance is out of sight, and in terms of quality bmw, mercedes, volvo, porsche, saab are all crap esp. compared to the japanese companies. i think we ALL know that

yeah tell me about it I had my front windshield on my benz tinted, but it gets hot as hell out here, and it looks with everything tinted. I'm not even quite sure if it is legal to tint windshields out here but I never got hassled about it ... we can tint out quite a bit but at least you don't have to deal with 110+ degree heat

 

<---------- 3. 2 tl type s, now 03 cl type s 6speed. I switched to audi now back to acura. 08 TL TYPE S is my next car if i ever get a chance to upgrade.

Since my last post, I've gotten a tint ticket (for both tail lights and windows)..

I think I'll take the 110+ heat thanks very much.

 

in which case not worth having it tinted... that sucks bro sorry to hear, and trust me you don't want to be in the heat of vegas summer
