I was backing out my sister's new V4 solara, (don't start flaming on the car, it's my sisters car), and the pedal is really sensitive, more sensitive then my TL-S.
I don't see anything with adj. the throttle cable...i would do it if i wanted a quicker response...but i drive mostly on sidestreet so i don't really need to

my AV6 cable was tightened a while ago, i think i have to redo it now cuz the slack seems to have reappeared...unless you're some 300lb monster who cant control his own feet, I don't think you'll be rear-ending anyone...

1. Look for the Throttle Body of the engine. There are 2 lines/cables going into the engine. Loosen the engine cover to reveal the cables.
2. There are 2 nuts holding each cable. One nut on either side of the cable.
3. Loosen one side and tighten the other to take up the slack of the cables. Don't overdo it, or else you'll have a high reving engine at idle .
Verdict: Slightly better response at partial throttle. I believe the full benefit may be achieved at WOT. The theory here is that with a loose throttle cable, the TB butterfly valves can't open completely during WOT (ie: horizontal), thus impeding maximum air flow to the engine.

Besides, I think it's hydraulic. There's no cable to tighten.
