I like the Xephyr design better because you don’t have to deal with disconnecting coolant lines or cutting the pipe for the bypass valve.
Once installed I would imagine the HP gains are the same for both.
I think the only place you’ll find the Xephyr CAi anymore is if Park Ave Acura has any left for sale.

Depends....
The reason folx around here don't like the X-CAI is because that guy took alot of their money and didn't give them the product. He kinda just disappeared! I beleive the reason is because he couldn't handle the demand. He also had bad customer service. As far as his product is concerned it is the best bang for the buck because it comes with a AEM bypass and it only costs $200.
AEM is more expensive (about $50) but you will have a warranty with their bypass (the AEM bypass warranty doesn't work unless its on an AEM CAI).
Both products are good and acheive esentially the same results. The X-CAI looks a little easier to install because it uses a little bit more of the exting intake tubing (the accordian looking part).
I just received a X-CIA that I order from Park Ave Acura and they gave me an excellent deal! If you want one they only have one left and it is red. If you want any other color you will have to go with someone else.

i have to admit... the X is a good deal if you can get one.
i've used both the X cai and the Injen...
there is no difference in "pickup" between the two... theres no reason there would be. If anything, the Xephyr should give less pickup due to the fact it still uses the ol' K&N filter which is said to be inferior to the cones from Injen/AEM.
BUT... I still would give my word that you can't feel a damn difference between the Injen or X.
the X, in my opinion... sounds better. The only way I can describe it is "deeper" while the Injen sounds very "metallic", techno like. heh... I can only imagine the AEM sounds most similar to the Injen since they are closer in shape then the X is to the Injen.
aesthetically... the AEM / Injen wipe the floor with the X. The X isnt the best quality finish, and the devil is in the details. It uses flimsy connects/etc etc. There is also less mass to the pipe then the others... being as it connects to stock TB extension. So it just is not as purdy looking as the Injen & AEM.
installation. I would call this a draw. Granted, the AEM/Injen force you to disconnect a couple hoses... which can be a hassle. But, the X like I said, uses flimsy connectors/fasteners... so the process of just mounting it securely is a battle in itself. There are a few more steps to installing the Injen & AEM but the end result is far superior to that of the X. (talking strictly about mounting/looks)
OVERALL... I still say the X is a fine way to go if ya wanna save a few bucks. Day to day driving... the X sounds better to my ears. So that prolly matters more then the looks or ghetto rig installation.
