window jerks on the way down

this totaly sucks, my driver's window jerks and vibrates as it slides down(its loud)... (only on the way down it makes this dancing movement).
But the worst part, I had this fixed 2 times at the dealer already. First time they cleaned and lubricated run way... 3 month latter problem re-appeared.
Second time they re-adjusted window channel or something like that.....
and it still does this shaking crap, I think it even got worse WTF?!

Does anyone have this problem? Whats the right solution for this problem? It gets much worse when windows are wet after rain.

Only way to cure this is to replace the window regulator .The cable that the carriage and glass is attached has stretched out and has too much slack in it .This problem is especially noticeable when the window is wet .

Thanks Jens! You are absolutly right, it gets worse when the window is wet. At one point my service advisor was telling me that its OK for window to shake when its wet (??), but they attempted to fix it anyway ( unsuccessfully ).

Is this a common problem on 2001 CL? I hope they will fix it without telling me that its normal.... i'd like my windows to be smooth and quiet.

I have seen a few cases of shuddering windows but it is not exclusive to the CL .I am not sure what "adjustments" they are talking about as there is really not much that you can do to get around a crapped out window regulator .Just have them replace it and if they ask what they should look for tell them to inspect the area where the tension springs are for the cable .They are located on the motor body of the regulator .A close look will reveal that springs are no longer or barely contacting their seats. This is an indication of a worn regulator .

Bringing an old thread back

Has anyone successfully solved this problem? It's really bothering me in my 01 CL. I took the door apart yesterday but couldn't figure out how to actually fix it. My temporary solution was to take the top left bolt out that holds the center rail/bracket for the window. (Well the truth is, I for some weird reason couldn't get it back in).. This alleviated the problem.

How much can I expect to pay for a new regulator?
