window automatic down

I think it is quite ghetto, especially on a 2-door car, that only the driver's side window has the auto-down feature. It is one off the only things that irritates me with this car, besides the fact that the steering wheel controls don't allow you to go back or pick the previous track. Do you think it would be possible to buy another driver's side switch and place it where the passenger switch is on the driver's side control panel? Or is that piece one solid unit? I don't think there is any difference in the actual window motors, or maybe there is. Any input?

Passenger down switch has been discussed, negatively. The driver-only down feature was just the first implementation of this option. Both or all windows down is more common now but was not in 01-02-03 whenever Acura put it on the CLS. Maybe it's just on the 03??

hmmm, i don't think it's really that big of a problem. you are complaining about having to hold a button down? it isn't like you are reaching over and cranking it by hand. also might have to do with safety.

i just think it's kind of half-assed, like the heated bottom part of the passenger seat...i don't think it is a safety issue, the girl's G35 does it. it's not that big of a deal, i like everything else about the car, just wanted to see if i could improve upon it.

i'm not sure. i know the switch is different, but i'm not sure if it would work on the other side? pull the switch and compare it i guess. might have two more wire leads.

The switch is probably diferent, and there probably are some other differences in the wiring (an extra relay, etc)....

If you buy the Helms electronic manual, you could probably figure out the differences, buy the necessary parts, and modifiy the passenger door...

It's not a big deal for me. I like having the auto up on the drivers side so if it's raining, I can close the window will pulling away from a fastfood drive thru, but the auto feature for the passenger side isn't needed (at least for me).

It's probably a cost cutting measure by Honda/Acura... similiar to the deal with a lack of a windsheild washer low fluid indicator level light that our canadian brothers have on their CL's that we don't

I agree, when I park the car, and it's time ot put the windows up ... I effortlessly click the auto-up for driver ... meanwhile holding the up for passenger ...

I kinda would like to see different temperatures for the ass warmers ...

lol i didn't know that, im glad i dont have an 01 or 02 :-P
i like driving with the windows down and it just irritates me having to hold up or down for the passenger side when all i have to do is use the auto up/down for the driver's window. it really isn't that big of a deal, just slightly annoying.

oh i don't care about modifying the passenger door, i only want to modify the passenger button on the driver's door control panel....i want to be able to put either/both of the windows up/down with just one push of the buttons without having to hold the passenger side button to move it...again, it's not that big of a deal, but on a 2 door/2 window car...it just seems practical....they have a washer fluid indicator?
