Will CL-S rims fit on a regular CL?

I know this has probably been asked and answered many times before. So sorry for asking again.
Will the CL-S rims fit on a regular CL. I have heard that the offset is different, is this true?

If they will fit, is anyone looking to sell a set?

Thanks, Matt

My dealer told me NO when I was looking for a spare set of RIMS for my snow tires, but someone posted the spec’s once at the old site and I believe they were identical.

Should work, but I would test fit before you buy.

Found my old post from A-TL.com

====================================
FYI: This is an old bulletin from Mission Viejo Acura in CA...just would like to share
it..

<font face="Verdana, Arial" size="2">
Mar. 9, 2000 Do not attempt under any circumstances to install the Type-S wheels/tires on the 3.2CL non Type-S model. Under certain conditions, the larger diameter wheels will interfere with the chassis/body,resulting in wheel and/or body damage.
The Type-S is fitted with a different power steering gearbox that limits the rack travel. The Type-S also utilizes a different front engine beam, beam attachment flange bolts (12mm x 30mm), and radius rods for increased durability.

Thank you for the Info! BUT...

That warning sounds a little drastic. I mean really now, you can put 18 and 19 inch wheels on either CL and they will work just fine. I wonder why this 17 inch wheel would not fit on the regular CL (aside from offset what else can cause it not to fit).

Sounds like you would ruin your car if you changed the stock wheels according to that service info! Just doesnt seem right to me. Any thoughts?

Anyone aware of offset?

Both rims have a +55mm offset. One CL-P OEM width is 6.5" and the CL-S is 7.0". The CL-P has 5.625" of backspacing limit behind the hub and the CL-S has 5.75" (actually a touch greater). Do the math and you'll see that the CL-S rim sticks behind the hub 5.665"....right at the limit to possibly touching the upper control arm on full compression.

E-mail me and I'll be happy to discuss this at length.
