Why Clear Tali Lights are Stupid!

This is why clear tail lights are stupid... For those of you who are blind or just plain dumb, one can hardly see them! Why in the world would you want these things?
This guy is a punk... he saw me take the pics.

In this one I can't see the either one except the third.

This is the same car without the tail lights activated (in other words he's not braking).

I think I'd loose in court. If OJ can get away with murder, the jerkoff in the Eclipse can get away with that.
I would really like to change those pics... blot out the plate... but ZING is hosed again! I get a 500 internal error... What are those people using? Win95a on a Compaq with a freeware web server?

Wrong, you'd never get away with tailgating. If my tail lights don't work for whatever reason, it went out just this morning, or it did not work for some reason this time, you rear end me, you are wrong. It's called tailgating or following too closely. As a driver you must depend on seeing the actual car stop or slow down, not red.

If I hit a car parked at a stop light going 25mph and never step on the brakes, my car will come to a sudden stop. Consequently anyone who hits me from behind was not paying attention either and will be at fault along with me.

Does anyone disagree with this?

He can probably get a ticket for equipment or you can try to sue him in court, but anybody who rear ends the other person and breaks their tail light in the accident will claim that busted tail light didn't light up correctly!

We were barely moving... I had the camera sitting on the steering wheel, I wasn't looking through the viewfinder. So there was no chance of my hitting him at all. But he did look at me through his side (rear?) view morrit quite a bit. I'm not sure if he saw the camera or saw the car. You know how ricers look at the CL.

I agree. I think this is the law in all 50 states. You rear end someone and you're wrong even if they stop short!

in pa, it's pretty much law that you'd lose rearending someone EXCEPT there's an exception for freeway entrances (i don't know about exits).

Is it just me or do the clear tail lights just look like the red faded from the sun? They look like sh*t.

Hey, they're not so bad, I had them on my 4-door Integra. Only did that because there's barely on 4-door versions (4pc lenses), and I was one of first in Las Vegas to have them when they came out. Hyperwhite turn signals in the back, green signals in the front. I know what you're going to say, but please don't flame me, hehehe

Unless they don't have an equipped red 3rd brake light (such as on their shopping cart wing with optional brake light), I don't think there's much you can do about the situation.

Well, they definitely look better than those stupid Altezza tail lights...those belong on the IS3, and ONLY that car. Not Civics, Chevy S-10's and Ford Mustangs...

Ha ha! Once you get a digital camera, you
really start to go picture crazy. The nice part is you can just not pay attention to what you are shooting, take a billion pictures, and then figure out which ones came out later.

And if you think taking pictures while driving a car is hard, try taking one while riding a bike!

I think the completely clear tail lights are stupid. The altezza style ones look OK on some cars like the Integra but they look dumb on a lot of cars too.

Clearing red brake lights should be against the law. They are red for a good reason.

I agree w/ the complete clear being stupid. looks cheap but the is300 and altezza lights are starting to be a new trend even for oem cars.

new bmw concept, new mazda, and i just saw a ford lighting w/ it too. When I first saw it on the ford I thought it was aftermarket but after checking on the site , found out they come like that stock.
