Has anybody with an OBX header raced a person with the comptech???

I tried a search, but cant get a clear answer..What is the hp gain from a set of OBX header...

If the welds are the only thing that is bad about the OBX, why dont people just take them to muffler shop or any other place that does custom work and have them checked for bad welds and if there are any just have them re-welded it...
And about the inside welds not being as smooth as the comptechs.. you can have a machine shop port and polish them for you...
this process might be time consuming, and might cost one to two hunred dollars (at the most). Overall you would still save money over the comptechs..
Have them heat coated even...

The Comptechs have a slight weight advantage since the owner's wallet will be lighter than that of an OBX equipped vehicle.

 

14.42s in 1/4 mile with only OBX headers has to tell you something...

 

9.0 in the 1/8th mile with comptech's (and i/e)

 

14.42 at 99.44 mph with only headers, and mufflers. No intake, nothing else. Bone paper filter. Car could have had 14.2s if I could get out of the hole better.
