Where is the Gyro?

I am talking about the gyro sensor for the VSA. I suspect it is in the trunk somewhere. I need to know asap. Can someone look it up in a manual please?

I need to know this so I can wrap the thing in Dynomat so my stereo will stop effecting it. I have my wall being removed next week and will be the only time I can get into the front of the trunk (incase that is where it is)

Thank you for whoever helps me.

Im pretty sure the main control unit is to the left of the emergency brake and above... Also I think there are also rotational sensors on the rotors themselves .. hope that helped

A quick look at the HELM shows that there are sensors for the VSA throughout the car.
The VSA section alone takes up 82 pages in the book.

A “YAW Rate” sensor is in the trunk and a “Lateral Acceleration Sensor” is located under the center console.

Shawn,

Can you tell me the location of the sensor or better yet post a pic of the page you have. This will help alot.

Just to give a background on my problem. I have alot of BASS. When I play a bass heavy song loud the VSA turns off. I am very sure that this is being caused by the Bass interfering with the Gyro sensor.

I threw two scans from the HELM manual in the following PhotoPoint album.
Be sure to view them full size for best resolution.

Your the man!

Thank you!

I put my money on the Yaw Rate Sensor. I bet my subs viberate the sh*t out of that poor little sensor

Especially because my box is anchored to the trunk floor I am sure is passes viberations to that area. I will have my installer wrap it with Dynomat and see if that helps.

I wonder if I have a loose sensor or just have much more bass than anyone here?
