Agreed. TypeR is the way to go.

The problem is going to be finding the kit. The guy who did it, Doug, from Rick Case Acura, no longer works with Rick Case, so they are no longer offering it and Doug has not been heard from in over a year....

We are currently working on this for a customer.

Should have some kind of updates in a few weeks---we just about have it figured out and the parts are on order. Once we do, I will be offering this as a "kit" either installed or not. Don't worry.....I will post a dyno once completed so everyone can see what we came up with---I think you will all be happy with the results.

Thanks
Dean

Ol Dean, he's just Hot Rod Central.

So Dean, once you are done with that, can you start on a tranny program.

A torque convertor and tranny shift kit package would be nice. These autos are so slushy and slow on the shift that a mod here would probably knock a 1/2 second or more off our times. Plus it would feel really feel like a 260HP motor.

RUF,

We have been talking to a very good tranny shop about an upgrade and a torque converter.

unsure,

Sorry---I am an only child..

Thanks again,
Dean

We have the heads at the machine shop for a 5 angle valve job right now--should be about a week until they are done. The intake manifold is also being "cleaned up"---much like Scalbert did on his. This is actually turning into a really cool learning experience for us at the shop.

Well keep us posted. If mine goes out, I'm seriously thinking about sending it in for the rebuild with the mods.

I'd love to see what you guys are doing. I could learn so much by just hanging around your shop for a day or two... damn... i need to find out if any shops around here have a "take your customer to work day"

Dean,

Thanks again for the dedication to CL, we all know how undersupported it is I would be one of the first to say, if you can get ANY type of tranny upgrade availible for distribution, put me on the list! I of course will get the 3.5 kit once you have it ready for shipping. I tihnk anyone considering REALLY buying these upgrades should Deans know now so he can start to guage the ACTUAL market. Nobody else is working on such large steps forward for our cars AND then actualy producing them as a ready-t-o-go kit for us. We should let him know that he has a market to help recoup all of the shops time and money. Thank God the CL has Love!!!! Thanks Dean.

mantis23,

Should be starting it up tonight or tomorrow I will be sure to let everyone know--it looked sick right after it came back from the machine shop with the new pistons in it...

RUF87 and Juker008,

The tranny is going in as well--we have a really good tranny guy who did one for us with Titanium internals. There will be 2 versions of the upgraded tranny--one with a performance converter and one without. It is supposed to hold 500+HP ......Guess we need to find out now, huh?

MtBikR,

Thank you for the compliments....we have truely been trying to get this out for everyone as quickly as possible and consistantly running into delays in getting one part or another, but now it is a reality.

To All....

Thank you for your patience with us and all the support you have shown us in the last year or so.

Thank you!

Dean,

With the new titanium Tranny that can handle 500+ HP does that mean that our engines would be able to handle more PSI? Last night I talked to Mike at Altered Atmosphere in MD who when I told him that the CT SC only produced 45 WHP, said that he could just turn up the boost. But also said that the first thing to go after major mods on a AT engine is the tranny. So my other question is....is it the PSI that ALSO kills the tranny? Anyways good luck and I look forward to getting both of these mods.
