What would you pay for a supercharged 6 speed?
What would you pay for a supercharged 6 speed?
There is an old economic answer to the question: What is _____ worth? The answer is: Whatever someone is willing to pay for _____! I'm trying to sell my supercharged 6 speed and I'm curious what people on this forum think that it is worth. If I were to part it out (which I think would be a shame to do) then I could use book values to judge it's resale value, but as is there is no book. Just for fun and for my info, I'd like to know what you all think. For reference, if you want, my car is posted for sale in the black market forum.
Let's assume you were in the market for a 03 Supercharged CL Type S 6speed with intake, exhaust, and suspension mods. Let's also assume that you had the cash or credit necessary to make the purchase. Let's assume the car was low mileage and in like new condition, in need of nothing - just the color you want.
What would you be willing to pay for it?

i thought your original price with rims was fair, concidering what it would cost to build the car.

Thanks to you all.
Ferizzo, fortunately I own the car, taxes and insurance are very low here, and therefore I am not hard pressed to sell it soon, so I can wait for the buyer to come along. I once had a Mint 1st Gen RX7 with mods that I was asking a fair but high retail value for. It took me 6 months to sell (on a $19 run-til it sells ad), but I got every penny I was asking for and the buyer was thrilled also. I've had several other modified cars that I've sold at good retail prices without having to "part them out", but you are right, it does take time. Thanks again.

I threw my 1999 10th anniversary Edition Mitsu Eclipse in the autotrader and waited 3 months.... got all kinds of calls, no one was serious...then all of sudden a 19 yr old from 2 counties over from me who could not even drive a 5-speed came knocking at my door....
I got what I was asking because I was firm about my price....
funny thing is that, I would not let him drive the car until he had cash in hand becase he never drove a manual before... no sense in burning up my clutch unless he was a serious buyer...right?
personally I would pay your asking price if I was a serious buyer.
Keep marketing the car.... you'll find what your looking for.
