What our 3.2L can REALLY do.. (SEMA)
What our 3.2L can REALLY do.. (SEMA)
some of you may have seen what honda did with the Element at SEMA some of you may not have...so here it is...
"From the showroom floor Elements can’t drift (not without some loose gravel or snow underneath at the very least). Although the 2.4-litre i-VTEC inline-four that powers it is a commendable powerplant, both smooth and refined, it has difficulty breaking traction on pavement, even if it hasn’t been equipped with 4WD. Not exactly Grade-A drifting material, Honda’s motorsports junkies decided to change things by taking their 3.2-litre V6 engine and having modified it by adding two turbochargers and a host of engine upgrades to give it 500 tire-shredding horsepower. Also, the front half of the four-wheel drive system has been disconnected, enabling those oh-so-desirable arcing drifts to be made via the rear wheels with ease. Heavy-duty suspension upgrades and a full roll cage should prevent the box from tipping over, even when it’s sliding about at extreme slip angles."
*AHEEM* are you thinking what im thinking...
Two particular models that are being showcased are the Civic Si Mugen and the Si HFP (Honda Factory Performance), both of which are headed directly for production (but not for Canada *ARGH!!!*). The former is tuned by Honda tuner Mugen, and encompasses a host of exterior, interior, suspension and exhaust system upgrades. It will be built in limited numbers (500 per year), and will sell at a cost of under $30,000 USD. The HFP, encompasses similar upgrades and modifications, but is available as a dealer-installed kit, rather than as a separate model.
That would be crazy if HFP became hondas "AMG"...they put type s on everything now anyways, they should scrap type s and drop in the HFP..even keep type s but offer us the things honda is good at - where hondas skill really lies...forget this wittle extra horses and better suspension when people want "SPEED" from honda they should get all the full upgrades...

Not about a CL!
Some of you guys need to get around the site more.
I'm not taking shit out of my car either. This car is PERFECT for the price and it's won best in class ever since it hit the road. I was just a little let down by our standing at SEMA. Even the Maxima beat us out but oh well. I still love to drive this car and it's absolutely flawless. I still get chills and grins when I'm sitting at a stop sign and I can hear the radiator fan over the idle of the engine it's so smooth.
ITS ABOUT THE CL'S ENGINE HELMET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! you spliced the CL gene with bigfoot and got CLFOOT!!! with a suburu hood i may add, nice avitar...
AND the car IS perfect....the engine idle is so quiet I try to turn it on when its already on somtimes...
amazing how so many threads turn into glorious praise for the CL...
the design is almost 7 years old and I still get people amost crashing their cars to look at the CL..in terms of looks it scores HUGE!
I STILL turn around and look at it when i leave it, prolly cuz you never see them..
