What does your dealer charge for CT header install?

I was just at Tischer Acura in Laurel, MD and they quoted me $130 for a CT header install. I thought that was AWESOME! I think I saw PAA charges $255.

They broke it down, all their work is at $65/hr. He said it would be a 2 hour install.

I'm excited now.

damn $65 an hour is cheap for a dealer! They charge $85 here.

He said they lowered their prices to stay competitive with other aftermarket shops.

If they were installing OBX headers he couldn't give me an exact quote because he says they've never fit as well as the Comptechs do so its a gamble as to how long it takes to install.

If I could get a price like that for install I'd buy the headers w/o question.

Weird. They charged me 130 for my OBX install. Maybe they just forgot they had done it? Who you talking to over there? Go with Lenny or Brandon.

Yep I was there today and talked with Lenny AND Brandon. I deal with Scott alot too altough he doesn't really do alot of Comptech business.

I guess your OBX had no problems fitting or they would have charged more.

Although they are charging me $245 to install the '03 headlights

That is cheap... I paid $255 at Park Ave for the OBX. FYI, went on no problems.

it also depends which time with OBX headers !!

last time I checked the charges were as follows

OBX package

first time = $255

second time after incidental cracking = $150 for front header replacement and $175 for rear bank replacement

third time and everytime following you pay a flat rate of $150 for either front or rear header assembly

all prices include labor only since they wouldnt dare to expose themselves to a lawsuit for customers complaining of a cracked engine block

Who is that through? And who has had that many replacements done that it warrants a price schedule?

For me... if one thing goes wrong they're off and never on again....

I don't have the tools, etc to do it myself.

Pulling off the bumper... blah blah blah. Also I couldn't find instructions on how to do it.

$245 just to replace your headlights?? The only tools you need are a screwdriver and socket wrench. I had to remove my headlights twice because of fogging and did it all by myself. It's not that hard at all.

Dunno... 130 for headers seemed pretty low for a dealer. Maybe it's case by case on the particular item being installed.

I was quoted $400 at a dealer. Needless to say I'm installing them myself.

Sweet $150? Where is this place and do you have their number?

That's about $100 less than Tischer would do it for.

Bring your own stuff or buy it from them... same install price.

And of course you get to keep your factory parts. They are yours!
