went to the track last night

yeah.. ive had my car for a week, and i take it to the track... haha.

i went to LACR in palmdale which is high elevation... 2700 feet or something
it was 52 degrees.. no traction through 1st, 1/2 of second, and chirping into 3rd
with my girlfriend in the car....

14.8 @ 92... which after LACRs conversion would make it a 14.3 @ 95.

the only performance mod the car has is a no name short ram intake that will be replaced with an icebox on tuesday.

is this a respectable time for this car?

I dont trust elevation equations down to sea level, to be honest. Its for sure that the elavation hurt your times, but who can say exactly how much?

Anyways, post the entire slip. That will give us alot more info and we'll be able to dissect the numbers.

14.3 w/ just an intake is pretty good

jtkz, LACR is INFAMOUS for fucking up everyone's time by about .5 seconds...just thought I'd give you the heads up. But it's true, it is very difficult to decipher your times related to elevation.

How were you able to pull off a 14.8 at LACR with just a short ram??? I had upgraded tires, CAI, B-pipe and multiple runs. My best time was a 15.0..... over there. I must be a crappy driver or have a slow 6 speed or something but i think that i can race my car pretty well. My friend w/ a G35 sedan auto (CAI and full catback w/ no cat), and another friend with a WRX (full exhaust) were doing 14.7-14.8 easy just because they have good traction over there being a rear and all wheel drive. On the streets though it's a different story no one significantly pulls on the other.

ive had my car for about a week as well, but i have been to the track MANY MANY times with other cars......

my 60 ft was 2.3 or somthing stupid like that.... ill take a pic of the timeslip later.. its in my car... which is at the acura dealer at the moment.

when i took the car in this morning, one of the acura techs asked if i had a comptech exhaust.... i said i didnt think so, but he was gonna look into it for me. it looks stock to me, and i was told only about the intake.

so heres the question... would a comptech exhaust explain the quicker time? im still trying to figure out how these motors react to mods.

are your exhausts ovalish shaped? if not then you have something aftermarket.

A Supercharger will make your engine react better to mods

exhaust gives no noticeable gains.

if you want to see some solid performance gains, get headers.

leaving your time slip in the car and taking it to dealer is not very smart at all. if they see it, your warranty is completely void on everything in the car!
i went to lacr and was able to best a 14.9 auto tls w/ icebox, headers, and crank pulley.
i am very surprised you were able to beat my time with just an intake, but nice job! breaking 13's at lacr is a pain in the ass though! my best so far there is a 14.26 at 99, with 2.3 60 ft.
(after car was sced)

yeah.. my exhaust tips are oval.. thats why i thought it was stock. and turns out it is..

i actually asked the guy at service if racing that car would screw me over.. and he said as long as i dont go nuts.. it should be ok. i told him i went to the track and did 4 runs. he didnt seem to care. anyway.. the timeslips would not have been simple to look at... whatever.. i dont really car that much.

so.. my digi cam is being gay... so ill just post my timeslip stuff, and get a pic later.
