VSA / ABS problems

Whenever i go over 100mph, my VSA, ABS, and (!) lights come on and stay on. When this happens, VSA and ABS stop working. I've brought my car to the dealer several times but they can't fix it. The service manager said he talked to Acura Engineering and that the lowered suspension or different aspect ratio of my tires could be causing the problem. I noticed that I started having this probem after my transmission was replaced but the dealer says that the transmission isn't causing the problem. The error code is being generated by the front passenger side speed sensor which has already been replaced. The CV joints on that corner and the VSA control unit were also replaced. What do you guys think? Does anyone else have this problem with 235/45/17 tires? I don't care so much about VSA but it's nice to have ABS on a 3500lb FWD car.

Sounds like they are trying to blame your parts so they dont have to deal with it. I hate it when dealers cheap out on ya. I'm curious as to what IS causing the problems. There are some goone mechanical engineering types on here, hopefully they have an idea.

put the stocks on and see if it still does it. Then take it in, you have comptech parts so it should be under warranty. Did they ask you why you were going over 100?

I don't really feel like putting the stock tires back on. I don't see how it has anything to do with my problem. The circumference is within 1% of stock and it's not like the car can tell what the circumference is anyway. It can only tell how fast the wheels are spinning. Since the sensor at the front passenger side is sending the code, the car thinks that that wheel is spinning faster or slower than it should be. I don't feel the car pull to one side or anything. The dealer installed all the Comptech parts by the way. I have a feeling that if I put everything back to stock that I would still have this problem. They didn't ask me why I was going over 100mph but they did say they can't road test it at that speed which I can understand. My car has about 39,000 miles now and I'm definitely going to get rid of it before my warranty is up. Hopefully the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VII will be out by then.
