Video and pics from Dyno in RDD (6spd and s/c)

SGmotoring and myself went to Dyno in RDD this morning and took few pics and video clips. Results as follow.
Scalbert - you are right, my IMRC is broke.

SG helped to manually open it for dyno test.

Lots of goodies under SGmotoring's hood

Video of my 6spd in action
6spd video clip (right click save as)

Video of SGmotoring supercharged in action
Video of SC Sgmotoring 3.5 (right click save as)

Finally time to know hows our babies doing:

If those dyno's are right it looks like the 6MT is making more power than the 3.5L SC'd

!?!?

I would have expected WAY higher numbers for the 3.5L/SC.

I believe SG unplugged the IMRC due to pinging. And there is fuel managment issue also. He will explain to you guys more when he sees this post.

When he does...I would like some full car pics of his PDG. What kind of rims does he have...also does the rim size and weight affect the dyno results???

Even without the blower, the 3.5 liter should make more power than that no?

I would think so. TypeR's 3.5L ran a 13.7 in the 1\4 NA I think.

exactly the torque gain is killer, and if you notice HP comes in a lot quicker.

However, it does seem like the 3.5 should be laying down better power anyways. THat skip before 5K doesn't look right.

What are you doing as far as fuel, etc?

So, can anyone tell me what the hell is that spike at 6000 rpm? also is it normal to have 5.5psi of boost at low rpm and as rpm increases the boost pressure decreases? thanks

Thanks and I like it (may be because I got higher in result ), Not sure about SG :o

Anyway, it's a lot better than SP Engineering. At least R&D tied down our cars correctly (not hooking the suspension like SP Eng.) Most important is we can see and take pics of the whole procedure not just waiting in the "customer rest area" for the result.

Your blower belt is slipping! As rpm increases, the boost shoud increase

It is an auto. I thought s/c belt was slipping too. I tighten one so tight that it broke after 10miles!.

IMO, I would pull the SC and do some dyno runs to see where the baseline is at. The torque should not be dropping off like that which makes sense if the boost is. But I would be curious if the plot was flat without the blower. That would at least give an indication of where to go from there.

That is more like it!!!

I was obvious what the problem was with when viewing the old plot. This one looks more like my old NA Dyno

I had forgotten what the 6spd dyno'd at with the basic bolt-ons...Wow...

That is a whole ton of tq for the 3.5 car. With an obvious problem with something, I cannot imagine where the tq is going to be when it is straigtened out...

Well whatever it is, I'm pretty sure they can correct it. Anyways, the 3.5 s/c does sound good. Good numbers 6spd!
