very weird vibration noise

i have this werid ass sound coming from somewhere around the driver side area.

when i am driving above 40mph SOMETIMES a very fast (almost like buzzing) vibration starts to happen. it'll go away sometimes if i speed up a little and then it will start again. i've tried to feel for it by touching the door panel to see if i feel any vibrations... but nothing. i've hit the door panel and that didnt do anything either.

i've felt around the dash board under the steering wheel but i dont feel anything there either. im totally clueless.

i've put the dirvers side window down and sometimes that will stop it, but other times it doesnt make a difference.

has anyone ever had this problem or experienced it? any help would be appreciated. i am completely stumped.

oh and i have system if that matters. door speakers are stock though. door panels have never been removed.

thanks.

I had a similar problem in my Legend a couple of years ago- it was a CV joint going dry. Took the local mechanic forever to find it since it only showed up after driving more than 10 miles. Cost about $125 to have it disassembled and re-built. PS- DO NOT BUY AFTERMARKET AXLES!!!!

Does it sould like "static" on an old radio ?? My doors were making this sort of noise. Dealer looked at it and said that "lubricated" the door seals, but I ended up tweeking the door frames (on the advice of Red-CL ).

the car is dropped (bought it new from the dealer with the springs installed) so if it has anything to do with that, i'll have them fix it.

either way i am going to the dealer next monday. i just want to know what i'm dealing with and if its something i can fix and not have to worry about them fucking anything up.

its almost like a bee. its just a really fast vibration. like two plastic pieces or two metal pieces.

Sounds like the same problem I had with my door frame. You can verify it by sticking some cardboard (or match books) around to see if it is in fact the door frame. I thought it was the window glass at first.

Here's the thread where we talked about my problem...
