V1 hardwiring

I should be getting my V1 from UPS today ...

I read shawn's FAQ on hardwiring. It says to connect the power to the wiper fuse so that it switches on and off with the car.

Somewhere I read that if you dont have Navigation, there is a spot in the fuse box not being used with power that switches on\off with the car (obviously, because the navi switches on\off with car). Does anyone know which spot in the fuse box the un-used Navi is?

Not sure, but I think it’s labeled “Accessory” right on the panel.

thanks shawn. do you think it would be easier to wire to the unused NAVI or stuff it in the wiper one? have you ever had a problem with the wire coming out of the #12 wiper spot?

Never had a problem.
2-Years on my 2001 CL-S and coming up on 2-Years with the 6-Speed and both are installed that way.
