I've tried not to take her out during the foul weather. No chips/dents yet this winter season.

I got a nice chip in the windshield so far this winter. Gotta get it sealed up before it spreads.

I scratched the bumper trying to take some ice off of it, not a big deal, it goes along with everything else that has happened to the car.

The driver door was frozen shut yesterday, it took 30mins of running the car for it to warm up enough to open the door. I thought the door handle was going to break off if I kept pulling on it.

No "winter" problems for me yet. the ICE if any, usually doesn't hit until sometimes late feb early march.

Last night and today I kicked about 20 pounds of iced-up road salt and other frozen gook from between my tires and wheel wells.

I probably will evetually get it replaced, but I have a ticket that I dont want my insurance to find out about. It's been a year, so they obviously dont check it too often. It's been my experience that when you file a claim they re-run your record to see if they can recoup some of the money from the claim. It's on the passenger side also, and pretty low, so it's not too annoying. I'm getting it sealed tommorow. Also, a full replacement would be like $270 if I just paid for it, so that may be the way I go.

Does anyone have any experience with those clear bra's? I just purchased my 2003 CL-S and I'm looking for a way to keep those front end dings down to a minimum. I know the leather ones can cause scratches when crap gets between the paint and the bra ...

No real chips, etc, but I'm sure the salt coating will give a few swirls.

Last season, I drove from DC to NYC in the remnants of a winter storm. The salted road spray gave my hood a nice swirl trail that goes with the aerodynamic lines of the car, despite a few pre-winter Zaino treatments. You can still see them in the right angled light. Oh well.

There used to be a guy that posted on this board named Rips CL that owned a clear bra type company. I just searched his name for you and in his signature he links http://www.ultrashieldgoodyear.com

The Subaru folks love their Rockblocker clear bra product. I think this company is owned by a Subaru owner, hence the endorsement.

I've only heard good things about these products, but have never tried one myself.

I am!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not because of winter though just all the stupid trucks they let on the HW's in FL, with stuff falling out of them. When I detailed my car last weekend, I found a few big chips, & my windshield is chiped as well A few weeks ago I was doing 80, & heard something hit my window. Thought it was going to break it was so loud.

I've been driving my Land Rover all week and since it was going to be pretty nice today and I am really sick of driving the SUV, I decided to drive the CL to work and have a little fun. 2 miles into my 27 mile drive I heard something hit the side of my car. ....hard, it was tough not to stop immediately and check it out. When I got to work, there was a golfball size dent right behind the bottom side of my freakishly clean car's drivers door. I guess it's a trip to the paintless guy for me.
