Upgrades for CL-P models?

Yeah Yeah, I know that I sohould have just gotten then damn S-Type when I had the chance, but I didnt.. So I was wondering what mods they make for the CL-P models? I seen sooo many thing for S Types, will they also fit onto a CL-P?

Like headers? Someone said they used a CL-S Throttle Body on a CL-P an gained some resonse. Is this true?

Headers, Cold Air Intake, Pullies, exhausts, Brake upgrades, etc are all available for us CL-P owners...

Don't let thses type-s guys bully you around, its just that there are more type-s guys on the board than cl-p owners.

Remember, the cl-p ain't no slouch we are only about .5sec slower in the 1/4mi and 0-60, (give or take)

type-s guys don't like to hear that :P

Or, since the CL-P has lower compression, you can do something crazy like all-motors turbo and increase the boost. The only thing you'd have to worry about is the tranny.

Humm, is that all the slower that a CL-P is?

BigMan - What upgrade was the best bang for the buck? Did the throttle body make that much of a difference?

I am getting the itch to do somrthing to my car and dotn know what. I was reading one of the other posts about someone might be seilling their stone headers and it got me thinking.

[QUOTE]

Yup

Rough numbers:

1/4mi
CL-S: 14.6-14.9s
CL-P: 15.1-15.5s

0-60
CL-S: 5.9-6.4s
CL-P: 6.8 -7.2s

Those are rough numbers that I have seen reading through this site. Again YMMV

Yeah pick up those stone headers, but make sure there was no fitament issue's. Ask seller all questions before purchase. I saw those in BM, good price, and great mod.

.5 seconds is roughly 73 ft...or about 7 car lengths...

This is assuming speed is 100mph (for arguments sake)
which converted to feet is 147 feet per second.

I was curious about CL/TL Premiums. I know that the 00+ TL didn't have VTEC-e cams and neither do the 01+ CL. Obviously they don't have the Type S cams but do they help for your car too? Are they that much different?

I never said it wasn't alot

I was just making the point that the CL-P was no slouch and can hold its own as well.

I am pretty impressed with my car. Seeing as to how I was 30 minutes away from buying an Accord... I am glad I went with the CL. I am also glad I did not drive a type S. Because at least I dont know what power I am missing out on. :sqnteek:

True.. but I'm thinking it's more then that.

A couple of trips ago to E-Town there was a CL-P running high 15's stock... while the stock CL-S' were running low 15's.... so it was more of a .7 - .8 difference in the quarter.

That was on that day though.... so who knows.... .5 may be accurate... but either way, as mentioned above, there are a ton of mods for the CL-P.
