Turbo IS300 6 speed

I thought you guys would appreciate these pics that I took last night. These were taken in Miami at what was sort of a car show. Hundreds of import and muscle cars showed up until the cops broke it up.

This pic is of 2002 Lexus IS 300 that has been turbocharged and had a 6 speed put in to replace the stock 5 speed. The car only had 3000 miles on it. The guy that owns the car drove it from New Jersey to Miami to get the work done. The car has 580 HP at 20 lbs. of boost. The six speed tranny was made by TRD. WOW

Awesome.

Btw, when you take pics at night, don't use a flash and set the length the shutter is open (aperture? shutter speed?) to be longer, to allow more light in.

And use a tripod so the pic is sharp, to counteract the length the shutter is open.

man, thats' crazy...

i know most people here blow fuses when it comes to the IS300... and even though i Know no one personally with the car, I highly respect it and its potential. the rear wheel drive spec about the car indeed gives it its advantages over our cars, but a turbo with a TRD 6-spd???!!!!!!!~~~

wow... i'm speechless.. major props...
even though we can't clearly see the pics of the meet, dunno.. those cars look sweet.

Is that the show at Fudfutkers? (spelling) I've been there alot, lots of ricey cars. There are a good nice looking rides and then there are the classics. One night we should get an CL/TL group there.

Not bad, but I could find better cars to put THAT kind of cash into.

Maybe you mean it's a cheap digital camera. Being digital in and of itself is not an excuse. My digital has the ability to go into a manual mode where I can set most of the settings by hand and turn the flash off. Maybe check your manual?

Yeah it was at fudgerukers or however you spell it. I hadn't been there in years and went this past weekend. There were so many cars there that they filled up the kmart parking lot as well. The cops got pissed cause everyone trying to get in was causing lots of traffic. So they wouldn't let anyone else come in and told people to leave.

My digital camera is a fuji a201 and yes I can control the flash level and turn it on or off. I thought the higher the flash level the better. I guess I am wrong. Next time I take pics at night I will try with the flash turned off. Thanks for the advice.

the MKIII and MKIV supras have totally diff motors..one is a 7m and the other is a 2jz...diff block designs...the 7m imo is a pos...it should have been a 1jz instead (2.5TT like the jap version)...
