trouble starting car up in cold weather
trouble starting car up in cold weather
The other day when it was cold outside, it took two tries before my car started up. The first time I turned the key and I let it try for 4 to 5 seconds. Then the second try it started up after 3 seconds.
Have you guys seen this problem before?
Do you know why this is happening?

couple things i do that cause me NO problems, and i live on Long Island where it's cold enough in the winter...
1. my driveway is inclined, so i park facing down, thus allowing more mixture upon startup
2. even tho we got the gas pumper in the engine thingy, i still pump the gas 2 or 3 times just prior to starting...no need to wait a few seconds to let the gas to pump in
no problems after 1 whole winter and the start of another...<knocking on wood>
