trouble starting?

so yesterday morning i tried to start the car and went from the on position to start. nothing happened so i thought 'hmmm' and i tried it again. the car started just fine so i thought nothing of it. so about 3 hours later i go back to my car and try to start it and the same thing happens.. only this time i did it like 10-15 times. when i turn the key to the start position, all the electrical stuff would turn off, like the radio, like it would when you start the car and then come back on after letting it go back to the on position. it did start eventually though. today, however, everything seemed fine. i really should get it checked out but my question is, is the starter crapping out on me and how much would it cost to get everything fixed or replaced?

I'm betting that if anything is going bad, it is your ignition switch. I would expect the starter to make some type of noise (clicking sound from the solenoid). I could be wrong, but my bet is on the ignition switch. Good luck.

I'm sure that acura will be more than willing to replace the switch once they can reproduce it .. otherwise .. they'll claim it is all in your head .. and there couldn't be anything wrong with their car

if its a stick it may be the clutch sensor.

if its an auto try moving the gear selector to neutral and see you can repeat the problem. it may also be a gear position sensor within the trans.

good luck.
