tranny swap: auto-6spd

how complicated is it to tranny swap from auto to 6spd. in a 01" 3.2 cls. what over parts are needed/ or not needed to make it work. is it as simple as it sounds?

extremly...DO NOT ATTEMPT THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!....you must replace trans assy, sub-frame assy, ecu and complete engine and vehicle wire harness, exhaust system, motor mounts, wheel speed sensors, etc...probably like $6000+ in just parts!!!!!!!!!

Actually it's not too bad. Just drive your '01 to the nearest dealer that has an '03 6-speed. Trade your car in on 6-speed. Done. Shouldn't take more than a few hours.

the reason i asked is because im getting a new tranny and wanted to know some background before i felt stupid asking the dealer to give me a 6spd.
