Tranny failure guys

I have noticed a few trans issues the last couple days.
First,if I back out my drive way and then put the car into drive it takes 2-3 seconds before engaging.
If I floor the gas while driving at regular speeds 5-10 times the car instintly "like" goes into neutral and the rpms will soar like it was sliping but,it does not seam to be sliping.
Also if I floor it right off the line like draging it will not do it at all??????
One time I pulled into a parking lot with a slight inclined and after I made it to a flat it totally would not shift to anything.
shut off the car restarted and it was fine.
Any idea's.
pumps, filters, sensors,etc.
Or is the trans just on it's way out ?

you could try changing the fluid and cleaning the solenoids and see if it helps but it sounds like a trans onits way out.

Tranny is failing. Those are all the symptoms to my knowledge.

Maybe try to do the 3g TL auto swap

What would be my best option price wise ?
If I do some kind of swap I want it to be done once.
I know it's been beat in the head but,I plan on digging in the motor for more power "maybe" and would need it to handle far more than stock.

I think one member has on here if I'm not mistaken. He has a black CL-S, and I'm pretty sure he recently did the swap. Mine just went out last night, so I'm all ears for advice.

and it was a bitch. lol

i would say, if your not ready to take on a 6speed swap, then try and put the 07-08 tl base transmission in.

It's funny how people keep suggesting a 6MT swap as if the transmissions are so easy to come by.

Everyone keep talking about the odyessy or 07 tl swap, does anyone have a thread on the swap? What does it need to do the swap? or does it bolt right up? I am curious and would like to know asap. Got to get myself ready for this kind of problem.

i think the only difference might be a mount and sensor.

dont do a 6 speed swap unless u have a complete wrecked car.
it is a little easier to do if ur CL is 03. but i think urs is 01.

i think i'll make a list of parts needed for the swap.

Hey, [thread jack warning] my transmission is being rebuilt currently. Should I not have them replace the dealer bandaid fix of dumping part of the fluid to the filter back into the fill hole if I am getting an external cooler?
