Track dominators

For an Automatic Cl Type S, at what RPM is the best to shift at for the most performance. Over at the fresh alloy forum for a G35 he said he was shifting at redline and was getting trap speeds at 99mph but then tried 3 time shifting at 6300 rpms and each time he had a 101mph trap speed. is redline best shift point for us?

At 7000 rpms is the best! espcially if you have headers.

Yes, since you have to stay in the Vtec Hi-lift mode when you shift. Also on some cars like G35 Hi low torque that drops too quicky at the the redline. The window band with max average torque is not necessarily ends at redline it could be lower, on such cars the highest rpms at redlines are useless.

Pop it up at 69-70 and u should shift at 72. I do that when I need alittle more on teh same gear to keep up with others...seldomly happens .
