Tips for storing a car!!???
Okay, guys I will be going on Philippines for vacation this coming Sunday, and it will be 4wks vacation. So both of my cars will not be running for almost 4wks, so if you guys could give me some advice how to properly store my car for this long period of time will be greatly appreciated. Oh yeah I already bought two car cover for both of my car...

I too will be out of the country for about five weeks. Are there any precautionary steps I can take to ensure my car starts when I get back?
Unfortunately I will be leaving the car in a friend's driveway, and since I live in Pittsburgh, I can almost gurantee it will snow through the month of January.
All fluids in my car should be fine, correct?

Wash EVERYTHING. especially underside of the car. Any salt or
dirt clumps can eat through your paint.
Over inflate your tires to help keep em from warping.
Preferrably have someone move it every couple of weeks.
Running it is also good... but if not... not too bad.
I would also suggest getting an oil change right before
and getting an oil change and coolent change and new wipers when you get back.
Those are all the tips I know.

4-5 weeks don't worry about anything. just wash it.
i wouldn't worry until about at the 2-3 month point. had my car stored for 5 months. didn't disconnect the battery (she started right up afterwards), added about 5 psi to the tires, wash and wax, and i just had an oil change and full gas tank.
but unless you're gonna be gone more than 2-3 months, don't have anyone start it or drive it unless they plan on driving it for at least 3-4 miles.
so for periods as short as 4-5 weeks, fill the tank and wash it, and if stored in a garage, crack the windows or sunroof a little.

hmmm...

I think that's a total waste of money.....your oil doesn't get dirty just sitting in the engine. What makes it dirty is the combustion reaction -- which doesn't occur in a parked car.
I left my saab parked for 6 weeks last summer...outside and uncovered.... I would never cover a car unless i can guarantee it won't get a drop of water under the cover. And if the car is parked somewhere totally dry, than i'd rather leave a window open a crack than put a cover on it.
When i got back i had 1 tire with a little low air ... so putting some air in before is the only thing i'd do.

I'll be gone for a month too, so I asked my dad and he said just put 2-3 psi more in the tires. so I'm putting them at 35psi.
Wash everything, and thats it, also when you get back don't drive the car soon as you start it, let it idle for 2-4 mins just to get the coolant temp up.
