Throttle problem!

Hey guys,
I asked this before but the answer didn't solve the problem. The problem is with my 6 speed, when I get off the throttle, the RPM's stay up. I pulled off my CAI and cleaned around the throttle body, and the TB moves easily and the spring has good tension. Any other suggestions?? Thanks.

the best way I can answer that, is I get ready to change gears, take my foot off the gas, then press in the clutch, shift gears and the RPM's haven't dropped yet. Even if I'm just sitting in place and blip the throttle, it goes to a point, hesitates for a sec, then comes back down, slowly. I didn't notice it before I added my CAI, could that be it? Too much air keeping the throttle open?? Thanks

Unless it is very excessive or shooting up, its probably the nature of the dual mass flywheel, it keeps the revs up while changing gears.

you may have a nasty ecu(input coordination=FAILURE) or heavy flywheel.

its the idle air control valve. gets filled with grease. cleaning it may help a lil.

check to see if theres any instructions in the 2nd gen forum,i would think they have a DIY for cleaning the valve.

you need to clean that cable by the throttle body w/ a carb cleaner and then grease it up. more than likely that will sove your problem
